the zibaldoni series

The Zibaldoni series inspired by the ‘notebooks‘ of the renaissance. They first appeared during the mid-fourteenth century, and the word zibaldone originally meant “a heap of things“. These notebooks contained anything from literature and science ideas, to prayers and personal memoirs.

By the second half of the Quattrocento, the word zibaldone was specifically used to describe “a notebook that could contain a blend of literature, elemental science, (such as astrology, cosmography etc), prayers, and above all, personal memoirs.”

the digest series

Digest is a collection of ‘actions’ and experiments in artistic research. The aim is to release explorations freely and transparently so that another discourse can begin outside of academic publication. This is a collection of interventions where the ingredients, recipe, and instructions are laid out to be devoured and digested. This series is part of Anna Maria Orrù’s PhD from Chalmers University of Technology within the field of architecture and artistic research.
